I John 5:20
(KJV)
We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
(BBE)
And we are certain that the Son of God has come, and has given us a clear vision, so that we may see him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
(Message)

And we know that the Son of God came so we could recognize and
understand the truth of God--what a gift!--and we are living in the Truth itself, in God's Son, Jesus Christ. This Jesus is both True God and Real Life.

This book is about the One Book, the One Word to whom we owe our life, our existence and our eternity. This book is written to help you learn how to live in conscious union with God and to know Jesus Christ personally; who is in you.

Learning who Jesus is; what he has done, in and for us through His death, burial, resurrection and ascension is what true life is. This book is about you; who you are, what you are, where you are, when you are, why you are and how you are connected to who Jesus is in you.

You see, I believe it is time to resort back to the very roots of Christianity. With the gluttony of knowledge and information available in this day and age, everything, everywhere, can be left to someone's opinion of what is important regardless of real truth. Opinions are not what make a Christian; truth in Jesus Christ is what makes a Christian. Belief in that truth is what changes a person's life. Continual belief, in that truth, makes a person succeed in every facet of their life.

Jesus is our Rock, our sure foundation and desire for this truth must not be supplanted by desire for the faith to acquire wealth, possessions, knowledge or any other physical materialistic thing, otherwise we are building our houses on the proverbial sand.

If we know the truth, we know Him and He knows us; If we know who we are in Christ these peripheral things are a mere matter of our conscious union with God and obedience to His Word in us.

Sometimes in our anxiety to take care of the myriad "things to do" or "things to get" we forget God is the Creator of and sustains the entire universe. He is well able to take care of our every need, and then some, as long as our hearts are set only on Him and His Word. In the above verse Jesus is relating the importance of desire for the Kingdom of God, as opposed to the things of this world. He says to forget it all and set your hearts on God, He is what is eternal.

Everything this world offers you...

is completely temporary. All that God offers you is eternal, so don't waste your time investing or believing for things in this world or for the things of this world. This world is passing away, but God's Kingdom will never pass away.

Unless we return to the roots of Christianity and re-inspect the original New Testament letters, I truly believe we are heading in more of a direction away from God then to Him. The original Gospel was one that Christians literally gave their life for; that is the quality of Christianity I desire to know in every way. That is the quality of Christianity which I wish to communicate here.

What was it about their beliefs that were so different? Why were they so readily able to dismiss their life and possessions in sacrifice for Him who is Jesus Christ? That is the Gospel I crave to understand. They were not wanton for the things and knowledge of this world; they truly had their hearts set totally on God. God to them was not existing to give them everything they asked for. To them God was there to sacrifice everything they were and had for Him.

Let us go there and find the authenticity of the real Gospel of Him who was crucified on our behalf. This is true and real Christianity and this is what this book seeks to convey. This is the authentic Gospel of the New Testament in His blood. Gold Of God…True life in Christ.

John 17:3
(KJV)
This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
(BBE)
And this is eternal life: to have knowledge of you, the only true God, and of him whom you have sent, even Jesus Christ.
(Message)
Eternal life is to know you, the only true God, and to know Jesus Christ, the one you sent.
